Song Review: ITZY Make A Comeback With "Untouchable" And LIMELIGHT Pre-Release "TWENTY TWENTY"

Review 

"Untouchable" is undoubtedly ITZY's strongest title track in years. The song features a strong EDM beat, that carries on through the whole track, some catchy sing-along hooks in the middle and the necessary exploding chorus, all wrapped in a crystal clear production. The track's mechanized stomp beat is groovy and satisfying, with the distorted synths carrying the major melodic lines. The ITZY factor is still present and the group manages skillfully to work around the absence of member Lia delivering an exceptionally powerful performance. 

Release Info & Mini Bio 

ITZY, the currently four-member girl group under JYP Entertainment that debuted on February 12, 2019, made a comeback on January 8, 2024 with their eighth mini album "Born To Be" and the song "Untouchable" as the album's title track. The group has already pre-released most of the songs already. They pre-released "Blossom", "Born To Be" ,"Crown On My Head", "Run Away", "Mine", "Yet, But" and "Mr. Vampire" on November 17, 2023, December 18, December 20, December 22, December 25, December 27, 2023 and January 2, 2024 respectively. The mini album contains ten new songs and the physical release on a CD comes out in four versions: three standard photobook versions (A, B and C version) and one Limited Edition. This album with all its pre-releases is the follow-up he group's first Japanese full-length album "Ringo" that was released on October 18, 2023 and their seventh Korean mini album "Kill My Doubt" that was released on July 31, 2023.

Review 

"Twenty Twenty" is a solo release by MiU that will as a pre-release for the group's upcoming comeback. The song, which marks MiU's first solo track, is an emotional ballad with a dreamy feel and a cohesive sound. Lyrically the song describes a romantic relationship between two individuals who are constantly distracted by each other. They are drawn to each other, expressing their excitement and desire to stay in their youth. The relationship is filled with new emotions, a sense of excitement, and a desire to explore new things. LIMELIGHT, is a three-member girl group under 143 Entertainment that debuted on February 17, 2023 with the EP Love & Happiness. The group released a new digital single today on January 9, 2023 as a pre-release for their upcoming third EP album "Last Dance" that is scheduled to be released on January 11, 2024. The album will contain 18 tracks and there will be no physical release on a CD, only two Nemo versions. This album is the follow-up to the group's first single album "Madeleine" that was released on August 4, 2023. This album marks the group's last release as a trio as the group plan to reorganize and add more members.
