ITZY - Mr. Vampire
Review
"Mr. Vampire" is a song that would polarize fans. It features a dreamy production and a slick and quirky hip-hop beat, which creates a cool vibe, but the overly used sing-talk is bound to alienate a lot of fans who are expecting the usual powerful singing and hard-hitting raps. Even though it feels fresh for the group, it also feels out of character and the girls don't sound so much comfortable in the concept. Some listeners will appreciate its unique sound and feel that it showcases a different side of ITZY, while others will feel that it doesn't fully plays to the group's strengths. But, music is subjective, and different people have different preferences, so it's important to listen to the song and form your own opinion. Personally I find it one of ITZY's weakest tracks and not because it doesn't feel like ITZY, but because there any striking moments, nothing that stands out. There are no bad parts, but there are no exceptional parts either. It's the definition of forgettable B-side track.
