NewJeans' 2024 releases have been commercially successful, but their "breezy cool" style is causing their songs to blend together. To address this issue, the group decided to introduce a new genre influence and a rather rare one to K-pop, and that is swingbeat. While NewJeans is not delivering anything groundbreaking, their smooth arrangement, which leans more towards city pop than a high-energy dancefloor anthem, makes the track feels fresh and innovative. The over-polished production blends NewJean's nonchalant vibe with a unique take on this retro-modern music style and ends up captivating the listener with its mellow vocals and funk-infused percussions. 

The "Supernatural" MV adopts a unique concept, presenting NewJeans as stars of their own retro 90s-style TV show. Release Info & Mini Bio 

NewJeans, is a five-member girl-group under ADOR (an independent label under HYBE). The group made its debut on July 22, 2022, with the digital single "Attention" as a pre-release to their debut EP album "New Jeans" which came out on August 1, 2022. NewJeans released today their debut Japanese single "Supernatural" with the same-titled song as the single's title track. The single will contain two tracks and their instrumental versions of them. The B-side track, "Right Now", was pre-released on June 17, 2024 as part of a commercial in Korea and Japan. The physical release of the album will come out in nine versions: one Drawstring Bag version (CD & photobook), five member-specific Cross Bag versions (CD & photobook), and three Weverse Albums versions (QR card) (A, B, and C version). This album is the follow-up to the group's second Korean single album "How Sweet" that was released on May 24, 2024 with "How Sweet" as the single's title track.
