YooA (OH MY GIRL) Makes A Comeback With "Rooftop"

YooA (유아) - Rooftop 

YooA, is an idol-singer under WM Entertainment, a member of the girl group OH MY GIRL and a former member of the project girl groups Sunny Girls and Girls Next Door. YooA made her solo debut on September 7, 2020 with her first mini album "Bon Voyage" and today on March 14, 2024 she makes a comeback with her first single album "Borderline" and the song "Rooftop" as the album's title track. The album will contain three tracks but strangely there will be no physical release on a CD. The only physical releases will be two Poca ones (Inside and Outside version) and a KiT version. This single is the follow-up to her second mini album "Selfish" that was released on November 14, 2022 (although in the meantime she released, but not promoted, the digital single "Falling For Me").

Every album YooA releases is drastically different from the previous ones. "Rooftop" features a 90s vibe with a darker, more edgy sound with an addictive chorus with a low and a rhythmic melody and a trendy and catchy beat. The song is rather on the short side timing just below the 3-minute mark but the music video is lush and shiny and it definitely looks expensive. For the 28-year-old YooA this new, more mature concept is a perfect fit and I hope she continues in the same direction.
