BABYMONSTER - Stuck In The Middle
Babymonster, the again seven-member girl group under YG Entertainment that just made their debut on November 27, 2023, came back on January 31, 2024 with their first English digital single "Stuck In The Middle". The single will act as a pre-release for the group's upcoming yet-untitled first mini album scheduled to be released on April 1, 2024. Although member Ahyeon has rejoined the group she didn't participate in the single's recording and music video. This song is the follow-up to the group's debut digital single "Batter Up".
The group chose a ballad this time and with lyrics completely in English, which to be fair is something unheard of for YG Entertainment, but the song itself is bland, generic and forgettable. As expected, the vocals, costumes and production are top level but YG just announced a couple of days ago that Ahyeon is back with the group and then they released a song without her. Unfortunately the only positive of this release is the refreshing change of concept.
Did not expect a ballad !!
