Song Review: WEEEKLY Make An Amazing Comeback With "VROOM VROOM"

Weeekly (위클리) - VROOM VROOM

Review

"VROOM VROOM" showcases Weeekly's potential with an upbeat, driving-themed soundscape that feels like a freeing afternoon coast, beach party, or sightseeing spot. The sound is similar to labelmate Apink's concept change, but less sultry and serious.

The song builds momentum throughout, with impressively-delivered melodies in the meaty chorus and a hook that uses the title and a "drive baby drive, can't see red lights" refrain. The vocals of Monday and Soeun are standouts, and Weeekly's vocal ability kicks things up in the finale. This makes the song addictive and memorable, making it a worthwhile listen.

Weeekly have proven that when they deliver a well-crafted song, they can deliver an end-product that matters. It's a shame that their company doesn't take advantage of this quality with regularity. Overall, "VROOM VROOM" is a memorable and enjoyable song from Weeekly, showcasing their potential as a K-pop group.
