Song Review: BILLLIE Make A Rock Comeback With "RING ma Bell" And PRITTI-G Come Back With "Love Taker"
Billlie - RING ma Bell (what a wonderful world)
Review
Billlie is definitely getting traction lately. While they haven't established a distinct identity or sound yet, the variety they bring with their comebacks is something to anticipate. Their newest comeback with "Ring Ma Bell" was certainly a pleasant surprise. The song can be described as a punk-rock number with a catchy chorus and energetic sound, that features a unique and unpredictable style, showcasing the group's versatility and commitment to different concepts. The "ring ma bell" hook, is the absolute standout moment that would be immensely enjoyable to experience live at a concert.
The foundation of the song is relatively simple, relying on an electric rhythm guitar and uncomplicated drum hits, while the group's vocals propel the song forward. It works well because the listener can sense something brewing beneath the surface, getting his blood pumping from the beginning, and the pre-chorus confirms this anticipation. The chorus then elevates the song, with the "ring ma bell" hook delivered by Billlie in two choral shouting sections stealing the spotlight. It's hard not to imagine this becoming a fan favorite when performed live at a concert. Thankfully, the song doesn't stop there, as there is another section that follows with a refrain that could stand as a quality pop chorus on its own. Overall, a surprisingly good comeback and my favorite track from them yet.
