Mini Review

The quirky pop-rock track expresses the sun's scorching rays with Soyeon's confident performance evoking a flippant, happy-go-lucky attitude. "BEAM BEAM" presents an offbeat arrangement that injects punk rock influences with a hearty drumbeat, allowing Soyeon to mix sing-song melody with charismatic hip-hop. The music video features Soyeon as a disgruntled fast-food worker who transforms the restaurant into her personal stage. Soyeon's confident vocals and mix of sing-song melody and charismatic hip-hop make the song convincing. However, the guitar's chorus lacks a memorable refrain and the song's verses are off-balance. The use of distortion in the chorus gives the track a 90s sound, but misses that 90s feeling.
