Mini Review

"Poison" marks a triumphant return to the rock-infused sound Pink Fantasy first explored on 2019's "Fantasy". With its heavy guitar riffs, pounding percussion, and haunting synths, the track immediately invites comparisons to Dreamcatcher's signature style. But rather than feeling derivative, "Poison" allows Pink Fantasy to carve out their own hard-hitting niche, by literally being more heavy!

The verses simmer with a gritty energy, elevated by Yechan's powerful pre-chorus that provides an early shot of melody. This builds to an explosive chorus, with the girls' vocals uniting over aggressive instrumentation. A surprising metal growl punctuates the end of the refrain, adding an extra punch.

While the second verse struggles a bit to maintain momentum, the song quickly rights itself with a gorgeous piano-driven bridge. Here, SeeA and Yechan deliver knockout performances, their belted high notes sending the final chorus soaring. It all crescendos with an electrifying guitar solo - an exclamation point on Pink Fantasy's most potent single to date.
