Mamamoo made a comeback on June 2, 2021, with their eleventh mini album "WAW", which stands for Where Are We, and the song "Where Are We Now" as the album's title track. The mini album contains four tracks and will get a physical release too. This album is the follow-up to their tenth mini album "Travel" which was released on November 3, 2020.

Review

"Where Are We Now" is Mamamoo's first full-fledged ballad title track and was released to commemorate the group's 7th anniversary. The album, "WAW", contains a mix of ballads that celebrate Mamamoo's artistic evolution over the past seven years. "Where Are We Now" once again showcases the members' powerful vocals and singing abilities in a song about a bittersweet love story that delves into the group's collective journey. The lyrics build a narrative that explores the emotions and experiences encountered in life without getting overly personal. Each girl performs with passion and emotion coloring each verse in different moods without altering the song's integrity and overall feeling. My only gripe is that it feels way too much like a disbandment-goodbye song. Let's hope this isn't the case here.
