Review
"Perfume" incorporates retro synth-pop and city-pop elements, which have been popular in the K-pop industry lately, and features sharp and icy synth textures, which are characteristic of Yubin's style. Unfortunately the song lacks polish and the hook delivery could have been better. Lyrically, "Perfume" explores themes of attraction, temporary contentment, and toxic personalities through scent and perfume symbolism. Yubin sings about choosing someone based on their scent and the fleeting nature of relationships. The music video, even though it is solid, it is also generic and unmemorable.

Yubin (유빈) is a South Korean singer and songwriter currently under rrr Entertainment and a former member of the girl group Wonder Girls. She debuted with Wonder Girls on September 12, 2007 with their first full-length album "The Wonder Years" and made her solo debut on June 5, 2018 with her first digital single "Dosiyeoja". "Perfume" (향수), which was released on January 13, 2021, is her fifth digital single.
